Dash for the Dress: Annual Sample Sale
Oscar & Mira & Lela Oh My! Calling all super savvy brides, It’s sample sale time at Elizabeth Johns! Get excited because there’s some major bridal deals in store on beautiful designer label gowns. Here’s the scoop on our “Dash for the Dress” sample sale, going on here at Elizabeth Johns Morristown from July 20-27th!
What is a sample sale?
We buy samples of designer dress styles so that you can try it on in our store. Then we order the dress in your size based on your measurements, and that dress is made to order for you. When a dress style gets discontinued (the designer no longer manufactures that dress for a variety of reasons) we have the opportunity to sell that sample dress to you for a major discount.
Are sample dresses used? Dirty?
Sample dresses are only used to be tried on in our salon. We tend to keep our samples and salon in pristine condition, so usually a bride will have very minor repairs. Our awesome seamstresses have gone ahead and inspected these gowns and made any minor repairs already so they really look brand new! You will be trying on the actual dress you would be buying, so it’s easy for you to see upfront the condition of the dress and if you are comfortable with it. We will also be offering professional dress cleaning for a discounted price. We know you will find these dresses to be in awesome condition, and of course the icing on the cake is the incredible price!
Do I have to be a size 0 to fit into these dresses?
NO! The majority of our samples fit anywhere from a street size 6-12, with the ability to take in some sizes (I’m looking at you size 2s!), or let out a couple inches. We also have some plus size samples for our curvy brides. It’s worth a look for every bride as we truly can accommodate every body through alterations. We have expert tailors on staff who do this all the time with amazing results!

You will have a private room and an hour with one of our skilled consultants who will help you navigate the sale. The dresses will all be on a first come first serve basis, so lace up those shoes and get ready to “Dash for the Dress” of your dreams!
